UDF’s Malabar Highland Protest March Gains Widespread Public Support
The UDF Malabar Highland Protest March, led by Opposition Leader V.D. Satheesan, is advancing with strong public backing as it enters the southern districts of Kerala. After covering Kannur, Wayanad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Palakkad, Thrissur, and Ernakulam, the march has now reached Idukki. The march aims to demand lasting solutions to the ongoing crisis in the agricultural sector and to protect highland farmers and indigenous communities from the rising incidents of wild animal attacks. The march openly criticizes the government’s continued reliance on temporary measures in response to these increasingly deadly encounters. In the coming days, the march will proceed through Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, and Kollam, concluding on February 5 at Amboori in the Parassala constituency, Thiruvananthapuram. At every stage, massive public participation underscores the growing momentum behind this movement. All UDF alliance partners have actively joined in support. As Chairman of KPA, I take great pride in standing alongside the people in this crucial struggle.
